荣获2012英国卫报之永续企业奖(Sustainable Business Awards)
5月29日于伦敦,英国卫报颁发了永续企业奖给摇篮到摇篮认证产品制造商Desso与Puma。永续企业奖对于展现创新且融合知识经济的企业,是一大鼓励。
欧洲领先的地毯和体育表面公司DESSO,因为在商业决策中实施摇篮到摇篮®设计理念,赢得了2012年英国卫报的永续企业奖当中的废物处理和回收奖,一举打败其他两个最终入围企业,BAM Nuttall和可口可乐。

「我们正从传统的『开採、制造、丢弃』模式迈向一个循环型经济」Kranendijk说,「根据埃伦•麦克阿瑟基金会(Ellen MacArthur Foundation)的最新报告统计,循环型经济模式在欧洲每年有630亿美元的商机,接近整个欧盟全年度国民生产毛额的4%。」
自2008年以来,DESSO已将摇篮到摇篮®策略融入本身的商业模式,据此设计产品的拆卸和回收系统。摇篮到摇篮®的目标是重新设计我们生产制造物品的方式,让我们的产品从根本改造,选用对环境有正面影响且可以不断回收利用的材料。
2010年,DESSO的一个地毯系列产品以及地毯背衬EcoBase®同时获得了摇篮到摇篮®银级证书。由于其创新的成分,DESSO EcoBase®的聚烯烃基层是完全可透过DESSO本身系统进行回收的。
DESSO EcoBase®的地毯背衬有高达97%的材料被评估为对环境正面的材料。DESSO还建置了一个地毯回收系统,从消费者端回收使用过的地毯和材料。DESSO的目标是,到2020年所有产品的设计都将按照“摇篮到摇篮”的原则,此外大部分将生产能源改採再生能源。
